All jokes aside, we have some important updates and reminders for you to review; please ensure you read the newsletter. ![]() ROSRC Dues Notice Following Article VIII, Section 2, the Board of Directors set the dues for the current semi-annual billing period at $275. Payment is due by March 1st, 2023. The second half dues will be due June 1st, 2023. The total for the year is $550. If you did not complete your workday for 2022, please include that in your payment. If you have any questions on whether you received full credit, please reach out to Carol Hawkins at the address below. Dues not paid in full by March 15, 2023, are subject to a $25.00 per month penalty and all rights and privileges will be suspended until dues are paid in full. The second half dues will be due June 1st, 2023. If you would like to go ahead and pay your full year’s dues at this time, you can instead pay $550. How to pay:Checks should be made payable to River Oak Swim and Racquet Club and mailed to: ROSRC c/o Treasurer, Carol Hawkins 3100 River Drive Lawrenceville, GA 30044You may also pay with debit or with credit card at PayPal address:[email protected] Link to pay on ROSRC websiteWorkday Credits: Under our bylaws, each member must fulfill four workday hours throughout the calendar year. Your workday may be broken down into two, two-hour shifts or one four-hour shift. We have multiple opportunities for you to complete these; some days are pre-planned while others will not, but prompt communication will be shared. Pre-planned opportunities include: Opening Season | Spring Clean-up (Date TBD) Memorial Day | Monday, May 29th 4th of July | Tuesday, July 4th Labor Day | Monday, September 4th End of Season | Closing Clean-up (Date TBD) The workday fee is $50 and will be the total amount owed by the end of the season if you do not complete your required workday allotment. Note: You receive full credit by fulfilling any committee or board position; we have multiple needs listed below. Please consider a position of interest. Social Chair Board Position Open: We are looking for members interested in filling the Social Chair Board Position for the remaining term, effective immediately (until October 2023). This person helps organize our holiday parties at the pool, so it’s essential to fill this position before the start of the pool season. We have had zero interest in this position fulfillment; holiday parties will be directly impacted if we do not have this board seat filled. Buildings & Grounds Update: We have exciting updates in motion for our club’s buildings and grounds and are still in immediate need of committee members. Please make sure you reach out to David [email protected]. The replacement of the tennis bleachers has been completed; thank you to all who came out to help! Election Committee Needed: We are looking for members to join our election committee who will help us find interested members for future board positions. If you are interested, please reach out to Sonny Spratlin [email protected] Website Administrator Needed: We are looking for anyone interested in becoming our new website administrator or having experience maintaining and developing websites. Please get in touch with Amber Wright [email protected] General Membership Meeting: Our next upcoming general meeting will be hosted on April 16th at 7:00 pm. Each household should plan on sending a representative. Of course, new members are welcome too! *Remember, only members in good standing (who have paid the first half of dues) can vote. If you still have not paid your first half dues, please bring a check* We have a lot of fun ideas in store for our kiddos this season! ROSRC Junior Activity:
ROSRC is celebrating our children returning to school.
This Saturday, August 6th
12:00 – 4:00 PM
Join us for beach ball relay, hula hoops, pool games & music.
ROSRC will provide water & juice, as well as goody bags for little one’s.

ROSRC Board News:
Do you have feedback for the Club Board? Share the good happening that should be noted. Share input / suggestions on how to make it more fun. It takes a village to provide activities and upkeep of the grounds, pool area, tennis courts and buildings. Excluding the Lifeguards who are paid, everything else is run by the Members.
Please consider volunteering and helping the Board Chair(s) to make the remainder of the season successful. Please go to www.rosrc.com or the Bulletin Board to obtain the contact information of each Board Chair and offer to volunteer / join a committee!
Grounds & Maintenance:
ROSRC’s Grounds and Maintenance Chair is seeking 2-4 volunteers to join our committee. Seeking anyone experienced in handywork, electrical, plumbing, painting, landscaping, carpentry, etc.
Public Relations News:
It feels as though Summer Break just started a couple of weeks ago! I hope all our children and their friends enjoyed Summer Break 2022 at ROSRC. We wish you all a safe & happy return to the new school year! We will host a few more Junior Activities throughout the remaining 2 months of our Pool Season.
