Pool Info
I hope this emil finds you well and ready for summer fun! We have had the busiest start to the pool season in many years. I hope you have come out and relaxed by our beautifully renovated pool.
Below are some items regarding the pool.
– Lifeguards will begin Friday, May 22.
-At the end of the evening when the guards clean up and shut down the pool, everyone is expected to exit the pool area.
-Pool hours without a lifeguard are sun up to sun down.
-Diving boards are not to be used if lifeguards are not present.
-No glass is permitted inside the gate.
-If you drink a beverage while in the pool, please make sure you are standing at the side of the pool and not walking in the pool with your drink.
-Please do not prop the gate open for any reason. This is a Gwinnett County policy and the pool will be shut down.
-Board members will be spot checking to make sure members have signed in and their guests are written on the sign in sheet. Please be polite, we are trying to maintain the integrity and high standards of the club you pay for.This is also a way to meet new members.
-Please be mindful of non-member teenagers hanging out at the gate waiting to follow you in.
-At the end of swim team practice, children should be pickup by a parent and not left unattended.
-Andrew is the name of our new head guard.
-During Swim Team practice (the pool is not closed, but they use part of the pool)
Weekdays 9AM-11AM
Weeknights 7:30-8:30
-During home swim meets the pool is closed: June 4th, June 11th, and June 29th.
Swim end of season party: July 9th at 6:00 (pool is open, but FYI- will have many people at the party)
Pool Lifeguard Hours:
The day after school ends- day before the first day of school
Monday thru Thursday: 11am-9:
Friday and Saturday: 11am-11pm
Sunday: noon-9pm
Post Summer hours (when school begins until Labor Day)
Monday-Friday: 4-8pm
Saturday – Sunday: same as summer hours

Memorial Day Celebration
The Memorial Day Celebration will be held on May 25th. In recent year we
have noticed a significant decrease in the number of people bringing a side
dish to share. This is incredibly unfair to those members and guests who do
bring dishes and then end up having very little to eat because they are
serving food or happen to be towards the end of the line. If you plan to
attend the celebration we ask that you PLEASE bring a dish based on the
guidelines below to feed approximately 10 people.. This will ensure that
everyone can have a good meal and enjoy the day at the pool. If you are
bringing a bunch of guests please consider bringing more than one.
Member with last name beginning with:
A-M bring a side dish.
N-Z bring a desert.
ROSRC will be providing various types of beverages and a DJ.
Sign-Up sheets for the Pig Roasting shifts will be posted at the pool
tomorrow afternoon, May 15th. We will also have sheets for Set-up,
Clean-up, and to help with the Cookout. Volunteering for this even will
count as a completed Mandatory Work Day for your family.

The River Oak Swim and Racquet Club General Membership Meeting will be held Sunday May 3, 2015 at 7pm at the pool pavilion. Hope to see you there!

2015 Winter Dues Notice
Dear Club Member:
In accordance with Article VIII, Section 2, the Board of Directors set the dues for the current semi-annual billing period at $250. Payment is due by March 1, 2015.
Furthermore, dues not paid in full by March 15, 2015 are subject to a 10% ($25.00) per month late penalty and all rights and privileges will be suspended until dues are paid in full. Late fees will be waived the first month as this is the first notice sent by mail.

ROSRC S’mores Night
Hello River Oak Families,
Next Sunday November 23rd at 6:30 we are going to have a family smores night at the pool. Bring your marshmallow roasters and chairs and enjoy some smores, coffee and hot chocolate. In the event of inclement weather we will postpone until Monday November 24th.
We will also be collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Please bring a new unwrapped toy to put in the box.

We are currently soliciting nominations for stock members, in good standing, to serve on the ROSRC Board of Directors. Per the ROSRC bylaws, Board members serve 2 year terms and may serve a total of 4 consecutive years before a one year “cooling off” period. Board members are exempt from workday requirements and will have guest fees waived during the duration of their service.
