End of School Social and Memorial Day Party Invite

Hi All,

We are so very excited that the club is officially open for summer business! It is currently “Swim at Your Own Risk”, but lifeguards will be on duty with the launch of our summer After School Party. (Diving boards will also be up at this time.) Please join us from 6:00-8:00 PM on May 22nd for fun and a delicious ice cream social. We will need a volunteer to help out, so please reply if you are available and interested. (This would count as 2 hours of your 4 hour Work Day credit. Volunteer needed from 5:30-7:30.)

Also, please put our amazing Annual Memorial Day Party on your calendar- Monday, May 27, 2019. Planning is underway, and is certain to be a fantastic time! We need some help with the pig roast, set up, and clean up, and this year we have a sign up for food. Pool opens today…Dues Notice

***Pool opens today, May 1, 2019. It is Swim at Your Own Risk– No lifeguards. We are aware that the pool needs cleaning, and Positively Pools has been contacted to handle this ASAP.

ROSRC DUES NOTICE:

Dear Club Member: In accordance with Article VIII, Section 2, the board of directors set the dues for the current semi-annual billing period as: $275. Payment is due by June 1, 2019. If you have already paid for the whole year—thank you and please disregard this letter.

Second half dues not paid in full by June 15, 2018 are subject to a $25.00 per month penalty and all rights and privileges will be suspended until dues are paid in full. Pool cards will be turned off on June 15 if payment has not been received by then. (NOTE: This is a two week grace period,  June 1st is the actual due date.)

Checks should be made payable to River Oak Swim and Racquet Club and mailed to:     ROSRC

Dear ROSRC Families,

We are in need of some volunteers to help us! Serving in one of the following capacities will count as a Work Day Credit. Currently, we are seeking members to fill the following vacancies:

  • Secretary (Attend 1 meeting per month and take minutes)
  • Social Chair (Attend 1 meeting per month and act as a liaison for summer parties)
  • Memorial Day Party Coordinator: FILLED
  • 4th of July Party Coordinator (With help of committee, oversee party)
  • Labor Day Party Coordinator (With help of committee, oversee party)

Social Updates/RVSP soon for the Chili Cook-Off (2/10)

Dear ROSRC Members,
As you have heard, our club is striving to become a year round family gathering place. The First Annual Chili Cook-Off is next Sunday, February 10th, from 3:00-5:00 PM. The fun will occur at the residence of Kes Downs: 3186 River Oak Court. Please see the attached flier for details, and register or direct questions to Kes at 770-375-8725. All families are welcome to bring their favorite chili, side dish, or a dessert to share. 
Additionally, we still need a couple of enthusiastic individuals to complete our newly formed Social Committee.  We are seeking a Social Chairperson who can attend monthly Board meetings. This Chairperson will also coordinate with three other committee members to help facilitate parties on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day. Please reply if you are interested in serving in one of these roles. (Service in this regard will count as your workday credit, and each committee member would coordinate only one of the summer parties.)
With your help, we can make 2019 a great year for family fun!

General Membership Meeting 10/14: We Need You!

Hi All,

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming General Membership Meeting on Sunday, October 14th at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at our pool pavilion.
There are 5 spots opening up on our Board. There are two individuals that are currently interested in a position, but we have more spots to fill.  We would love for you to consider nominating yourself (or a friend) for the following positions:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Pool Chair
4. Tennis Chair
5. Building and Grounds
Each Board member’s contribution counts as a $50 work day credit. We could sure use some enthusiastic, interested, and involved individuals to help keep our pool a happy and safe place. Please reply with nominations!
