Our Board of Directors hopes you and your loved one’s are all healthy and happy!  It is almost that time of year ROSRC Members!  A very warm welcome to all of our new Members that have recently joined!!!

UPDATE #1:

In accordance with Article VIII, Section 2, the Board of Directors set the dues for the current semi-annual billing period at: $275.  Payment is due by MARCH 1, 2022.  

Dues not paid in full by March 15, 2022 are subject to a $25.00 per month penalty and all rights and privileges will be suspended until dues are paid in full.  

The second half dues will be due June 1^st, 2022. If you would like to go ahead and pay your full year’s dues at this time, the total for the year is $550.

River Oaks Swim & Racquet Club Members: 

Due to lack of members volunteering for Open Board positions, the Open General Board Meeting will be postponed until Sunday, November 7^th at 7:00pm. at the pool pavilion. The Board has several open positions that need to be filled. 

Listed are ALL the Board positions that make this club run smoothly:

President, Vice President, Membership, Treasurer, Social, Pool, Tennis, Buildings and Ground, Jr. Social, PR, and Secretary. 

Please consider volunteering to be on the Board. We are really a fun group to work with. 

*At the Open General Board Meeting- The Board would like to discuss/vote on incentives to members that volunteer to serve on the board for 2 years.  

We have received several members who are interested in running for the Board! Thank you for your replies and your names will be added to our ballot.

Get your beach towels, SPF, bathing suits and coolers ready for ROSRC’s 2021 Summer Season which kicks off on May 1st!  The gates will be open from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm with swimming at your own risk.  Pool gate cards will be turned on only if your 2021 payment has been received. 

Lifeguards begin their services from May 20^th – May 26^th with the following schedule:

May 20th – Thursday	4:00pm – 9:00pm
May 21st – Friday	4:00pm – 11:00pm
May 22nd – Saturday	11:00am – 11:00pm
May 23rd – Sunday	12:00pm – 9:00pm
May 24th – Monday	4:00pm – 9:00pm
May 25th – Tuesday	4:00pm – 9:00pm
May 26th – Wednesday	4:00pm – 9:00pm

Lifeguards will begin normal coverage on May 27^th with the following schedule:

Monday – Thursday:	11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Friday & Saturday:	11:00 am – 11:00 pm
Sunday:	12:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Our General Membership Meeting will be held on April 11th at 7:00 P.M. at the Pavilion.

We are having a Work Day Credit Day on Saturday, April 17^th.  Please email me if you are interested in helping ROSRC do some Spring Cleaning in & around the bathrooms, pavilion, kitchen and pool grounds.  We will start at 9:00am and plan to be there for 60 to 90 minutes.

Tennis Update from Sonny Spratlin / ROSRC Tennis Chair

GREAT NEWS for ROSRC!!!  We have partnered with the Brookwood High School Varsity Girls Tennis Team by assisting them with some of their match play this season.  Starting the week of February 22nd, the Brookwood Varsity GirlsTennis Team will be playing some of their matches at our club.  There will be six to seven matches played over the next six to seven weeks.  Matches will be played on different days during the month.  These matches should not interfere with any of the Alta League play and other associations will be able to work around scheduled matches.  Their matches will be played on scheduled dates from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Any rain-outs will potentially be rescheduled at other participating clubs.  The first match is on Tuesday, February 23rd, the second match is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2nd, and the 3rd match is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th.  The remaining schedule is coming up and will be posted soon.  Please come up and support the Brookwood Varsity Girls Tennis Team.

We have a great turnout for our ROSRC Tennis Community during all seasons.  We would like to start a Beginners Mixed Doubles Team for the Summer Session of Alta Tennis. With all of our current teams playing at a high level, this really doesn’t allow for those that would like to play tennis, but don’t play at a high level, and opportunity to play and have fun.  If you are interested in playing on a beginners level Alta Team, please contact Sonny Spratlin at [email protected].  Please let him know by March 23rd as this is when  the rosters open for registration to see if we have enough for a team.  Please talk with your friends and let’s get people interested in coming out to play TENNIS!!!
