Dues Reminder Notice/ Movie Night 6/8

Dear ROSRC Families,


This is a reminder that second half dues are due today. Many of you have already paid, but this message is being sent to all club members as a reminder.  Please see attached dues notice for more information.
Also, please mark your calendars for our “Dive-in Movie Night” to be held Saturday, June 8th, 2019.


We will enjoy the movie, Coco, beginning “at dark.” (Movie set to start around 8:45-9:00.) You may purchase refreshments including: hot dogs, nachos, pizza, candy, popcorn, and drinks. In addition, Kona Ice with be at the pool selling cool treats from 6:00-8:00 PM. 
We have hired extra lifeguards for the evening events, but we will need 4 people to help volunteer for concession sales:  2 volunteers are needed from 5:30 to 8:30 PM and 2 from 8:30 PM until finish. Please email Kes Downs if you are able to volunteer for this event: [email protected].

Memorial Day Picnic/Round Robin- Tennis

ROSRC Families,

We hope you are able to join us for our annual Memorial Day Picnic! This year we are using a signup genius for Work Day credit and food. We still need a few individuals to help with party cleanup. Please click here for pool party details: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d45a5af22a1fa7-memorial

Also, there will be a tennis Round Robin event before the pool party, beginning at 9:00 AM. This will be open to any members 16 and over. If you are interested in participating, please email Derrick Huff at: [email protected], or simply show up on the courts no later than 9:30 AM on Monday morning. It’s going to be a fantastic day!

End of School Social and Memorial Day Party Invite

Hi All,

We are so very excited that the club is officially open for summer business! It is currently “Swim at Your Own Risk”, but lifeguards will be on duty with the launch of our summer After School Party. (Diving boards will also be up at this time.) Please join us from 6:00-8:00 PM on May 22nd for fun and a delicious ice cream social. We will need a volunteer to help out, so please reply if you are available and interested. (This would count as 2 hours of your 4 hour Work Day credit. Volunteer needed from 5:30-7:30.)

Also, please put our amazing Annual Memorial Day Party on your calendar- Monday, May 27, 2019. Planning is underway, and is certain to be a fantastic time! We need some help with the pig roast, set up, and clean up, and this year we have a sign up for food. Social Updates/RVSP soon for the Chili Cook-Off (2/10)

Dear ROSRC Members,
As you have heard, our club is striving to become a year round family gathering place. The First Annual Chili Cook-Off is next Sunday, February 10th, from 3:00-5:00 PM. The fun will occur at the residence of Kes Downs: 3186 River Oak Court. Please see the attached flier for details, and register or direct questions to Kes at 770-375-8725. All families are welcome to bring their favorite chili, side dish, or a dessert to share. 
Additionally, we still need a couple of enthusiastic individuals to complete our newly formed Social Committee.  We are seeking a Social Chairperson who can attend monthly Board meetings. This Chairperson will also coordinate with three other committee members to help facilitate parties on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day. Please reply if you are interested in serving in one of these roles. (Service in this regard will count as your workday credit, and each committee member would coordinate only one of the summer parties.)
With your help, we can make 2019 a great year for family fun!

*There will be a trophy given for the winner of our Ugly Sweater Contest!

General Membership Meeting 10/14: We Need You!

Hi All,

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming General Membership Meeting on Sunday, October 14th at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at our pool pavilion.
There are 5 spots opening up on our Board. There are two individuals that are currently interested in a position, but we have more spots to fill.  We would love for you to consider nominating yourself (or a friend) for the following positions:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Pool Chair
4. Tennis Chair
5. Building and Grounds
Each Board member’s contribution counts as a $50 work day credit. We could sure use some enthusiastic, interested, and involved individuals to help keep our pool a happy and safe place. Please reply with nominations!

Labor Day Pool Party and Tennis Round Robin – Monday 9/3

Come join us for the last party of the season!

The pool party is on Monday, September 3rd from 10:00-4:00 with the tennis round robin beginning at 9 am.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided.  Members and their guests should bring a side dish able to feed 10. Last names beginning with letters A-G please bring a dessert, H-Z a side.
 
The KONA ice truck will be there from 11:30 until 3:00 pm selling treats.  Please bring cash.

Back to School Party-8/11 and “Pool of the Week”

Please join us for our annual Back to School Party on Saturday, August 11th from 12:30-2:30. There will be crafts for all ages and tie dye project fun! (Please bring your own item to tie dye.) We will also enjoy a delicious menu of pizza, chips, drinks, and “make your own” ice cream sandwiches. Hope to see you there to celebrate the first week of school!

Also, please take a minute to congratulate our head lifeguard and his staff. Positively Pools selected ROSRC as “Pool of the Week” for performing an excellent job ensuring the safety of our children and maintaining a clean pool. That’s fantastic!
